Liz was due with boy #2 on Christmas day. On the evening of December 7, she went into labour and gave birth to baby Maverick just after 9am on December 8. We're so thankful for a healthy boy, a healthy mom and a whole new set of challenges that come with having more than one little monster to feed, change, transport and entertain.
I was able to take some time off from work that joined up with the Christmas break, which really helped with the transition. We're so excited to watch Maverick grow up looking up to his big brother Asher.

Some quick EMI updates:
Much of the fall and new year has been spent in transition since the Wiens' departure last August. I'm really looking forward to getting back into project work later this year. Please continue praying for our office, ministry and family this year!
God bless,
Braden
- Our office has hired a new office administrator named Hilary. She's been awesome so far and a huge help to the rest of the staff.
- We recently welcomed our new set of interns. They will be leaving on February 9 for their project trip to Argentina with Steve.
- My next project trip with EMI will be this summer, likely early June (location TBD).
- We are in Missions Fest season, so you can catch EMI Canada staff at events in Vancouver (Jan 26-28), Winnipeg (Feb 3-5), Edmonton (Feb 24-26) and Halifax (Mar 25-26). I will likely be at Missions Fest Alberta in Edmonton.
