I'll send out a better update newsletter later this month, but for now I want to ensure you are updated on our trip.
I leave early tomorrow morning (February 6) for Guatemala to begin designs for an orphanage with Impact Ministries. As I've told many of you, our earlier planned trip to Cambodia was cancelled around Christmas due to a corrupt agent in their land deal. With no land, we've had to postpone their project until they secure new land.
Instead, we are travelling to the small town of Tactic, Guatemala to serve another great ministry. Impact already runs many great programs, but now feel called to start an orphanage as well to meet the need of the children in their area. Here's an excerpt from their mission statement:
"Impact Ministries mission is to “Train Guatemalans for leadership by teaching Biblical principles in such a way that they become integrated in their lives and effect spiritual change in their society, and to impact North American Christians for world missions.”
Impact Ministries lives out its mission by building and operating the Vida Christian Schools, Medical Clinics, facilitating Short Term Mission Team ministry, and supporting the growth and development of the Rio de Vida Church."
Please pray for us as we travel and serve this ministry. You can find the project page here.
As always, thank you all for your prayers, encouragement and support. I'm excited to share about this amazing project with you in the near future.
