Our family - Braden, Liz, Asher and Maverick (and Mellie) - wants to wish you and your families a 'Jwaye Nwel'! As we thank God for the gift of his Son this season, we also want to thank you for your generous gifts of support, prayer and encouragement. Without these, we would not be able to carry on in our ministry with EMI. So...Thank You (Mèsi) and Merry Christmas (Jwaye Nwel)!
Why 'Jwaye Nwel'?
Because it's Christmas! And for us at EMI, this Christmas is being 'book-ended' by projects to Haiti...
Léogâne, Haiti (September 2017)
We are just finishing the final touches on our report and drawings for our recent project to Léogâne, Haiti. You can read the blog post about this project or visit my project pagefor more on the trip. (Image on right: the medical training facility master plan produced by our team).
Grand Goâve, Haiti (February 2018)
In Febraury, I will be leading a team to Grand Goâve, Haiti to help design a church and a birthing centre (amoung other things) for a great ministry called Haiti ARISE. This will be EMI's fourth project with Haiti ARISE. You can find out more about the project at EMI's project page.
(Image on right: Ruthneï is a Hatian girl from a small commune called Camp-Perrin. Her father passed away and her mother was mentally ill. She now lives with her new family at Haiti ARISE's Children's Home. I took this photo of her when our team briefly visited Haiti ARISE during our September trip.
Year End Giving
For those of you who would like to donate to our ministry before the end of 2017 (thank you!): online donations made or cheques dated before January 1, 2018 will be included on 2017 tax receipts.
To make things simple, I've provided links in the space below that will lead directly to a form pre-filled to donate to "Braden Swab". If you wish to give, please choose the appropriate link based on your currency and donation method:
