I never thought I'd be quoting Willie Nelson in one of my newsletters...
...but I guess there's a first for everything! I'll be "On the Road Again" in May, co-leading a team to Rwanda to begin the design of a 900-student secondary school in partnership with Africa Bright Future and Africa Harvest Mission.
Our team departs on May 22. We are still finalizing our team, but so far the members include 2 architects, 2 civil engineers, an electrical engineer, a structural engineer, a surveyor, 2 EMI interns and 2 EMI staff members.
Construction is underway at Shalom University in Bunia, Democratic Republic of the Congo as they expand their facilities on their current campus, as well as a second campus near the airport.
This is where I travelled on my third EMI project trip. The University has been instrumental in helping to restore peace in Bunia after years of violence and war. The campus expansion will allow the University to train even more pastors, community developers, medical professionals and scientists that will help shape the future in DR Congo.
Please continue to pray for Shalom University, its professors, its students and the world-changers that are graduating there every year.
I know I say this every time, but it's worth repeating: this is your ministry too! Thank you for your prayers and financial support that makes these projects possible!
